I try to do too much, then get overwhelmed.

I have a crapload of WIPs, plus three more fics I want to write for friends, cos I like doing that.

I have two scenes written for an original novel. I want to finish that.

I have rl deadlines: a paper to present in November, and a book chapter due in December. Plus a couple of papers in progress and a database to finish, and a short essay I'm drafting for a work group.

Processing to do. A department to run. An exhibit to go up in two months.

I want to apply to grad school. I take the GRE in a couple weeks.

There's also a certificate program in Desktop Publishing I'd like to do for work, except juggling taking classes with teaching classes (six are coming in this week, btw).

WHY can't I settle down to do just any ONE of these things, before wandering to the next? Or managing to handle a couple of them solidly at once?

I would say something like "You can do it!" except I am covered in deadlines and WIPs so I can't really help.

However I can hand over cyber cookies and a new broom to get the plotbunnies into a little box for now :D

I UNDERSTAND YOUR PAIN! Somewhat. Obviously not the GRE stuff and teaching classes and whatnot. But having too much on your plate and going from one project to the next to the next! D8

I believe in you though, Cait! And I'm sure my bdsm Kushiel's Dart porn will be AWESOME! >_> Just saying.

LOL! I was thinking about it this morning during chores. I'm thinking about the plot and stuff--cos, er, yeah, me needs at least a little plot. :)

I like to think that a plethora of projects is an indicator of an active mind. It's being able to decide the order in which to work on said projects that indicates strength of will. I don't know much about you, but from the quality of your writing, I surmise that the act of pursuing a process does not frighten you. So that being said, good luck!

(Kick the GRE's ass!)
