Woman! What did I tell you about the cupcakes?

I go to look at my flist and there it is, right at the top. Not under a cut or anything. You, ma'am, are a cupcake tease.

Now get in your car and drive one of those suckers out here to California.

There are very few things I miss about Texas. You and S. are in a multi-way tie for number 1. The cupcakes are tied with your cats for number 2.

I hope your birthday is as awesome as your cupcakes. :-)

Awww!! We miss you guys too!

BTW, to make these, make the chocolate butter cake from THE BOOK, make the vanilla buttercream from THE BOOK and add half a package of crushed double-stuff oreos to the mix, then make the ganache from THE BOOK and dip the rest of the oreos in that. OMG is all. :D

THE BOOK is clearly the solution to any culinary question. To make a lovely lasagna? Begin with a basic butter cake from THE BOOK cut into short, 1/2 inch high layers with sundried tomatoes mixed in. Grill eggplant, red pepper etc. Layer. Top with red sauce from THE BOOK.

Hee, thanks!

I haven't actually tried one yet, but it has the husband seal of approval. (He generally doesn't like cake. If he likes cake, it's an Awesome Cake.) :D
