Gratuitous Cooking Post


...Because I've been reading too many cooking blogs lately.

Okay, so today I got started on a few things for tomorrow.

First, my Aunt Pete's cornbread:




Then, spiced apples to be baked with brie tomorrow:



And then the chevre truffles. Now I got the recipe for those over at Habea Brulee, and I followed it, and well, most of them came out good:



Or as Scott described them, "Wow, those are pretty!"

So as you can see, as far as learning experiences go it wasn't too bad.

Anyhow, tomorrow is the turkey fry. The turkey is in the fridge, and hopefully the wind will die down. If it doesn't, uh, I guess we'll either wait or experiment with an actual oven turkey. Stay tuned!
